Erten production approach

Plan production around your brand, from fabric and fit to sampling and packaging.

Style and colour options

Choose your collection direction.

Chambray can suit collections seeking denim-like colour depth with a lighter shirt drape. Its plain-weave character supports both casual and relaxed business styles. Assess the texture close up and the fabric handle as well as the blue shade.

Light blue essential style

A single pocket and pale shade provide an everyday option across seasons. Light collar support preserves the natural fabric character.

Deeper colour can be paired with contrasting stitching and buttons. Select the untucked length for the intended use.

Chambray Shirts — Grey twin-pocket style

Grey twin-pocket style

A neutral shade and twin pockets create a different casual direction. Balance pocket size and button colour with the lightweight fabric.

Fabric and collection direction

Chambray weave, weight and handle are assessed from a sample. A denim-like colour alone does not establish that a fabric is chambray.

Style-specific manufacturing details

Contrast stitching, button-down collars and pocket options are balanced with fabric weight. If a wash treatment is planned, dimensional changes and the final shade are recorded before production approval.

From sample to order

Start with a reference garment, size chart or design file. We review styles, colours and size quantities alongside labels, packaging and the destination country. Sample approval, material availability and a written quotation establish the production scope.

Product development guide

The right sample. Clear decisions.

Fit and wearing comfort

Shoulder and chest volume show clearly in lightweight fabric; generous increases can produce more drape. Separate measurement references for relaxed office wear and layered casual use help clarify the choices.

What to check on the sample

Approve colour and texture differences separately. Include seam puckering at the collar, placket and pockets in the sample review. If a wash finish is planned, also assess fading and dimensional change.

Care, finishing and packing

Decide whether the target is a clean new appearance or a more washed look. Compare collar roll and fabric handle after care with the approved reference. Do not assume that a treatment chosen for denim will suit chambray.

Preparing for samples and a quote

A starting point for your project.

Share your preferences for this style, approximate quantity, colour and size breakdown, target date and delivery country.
  • Target colour and a close-up texture reference
  • Single or twin pockets and button contrast
  • Clean appearance or washed-finish preference

If your tech pack is not ready, we can start with a well-fitting reference garment, measurements and visual references. Agree fabric, fit and trim approvals before production.

Planning from sample to production

  1. Pattern development and first sample

A shirt fit / buying sample takes approximately 3-7 working days, depending on product complexity, materials and complete technical inputs.

  2. Sales sample

A shirt sales sample takes approximately 2-4 weeks; revisions and material sourcing may affect timing.

  3. Production and preparation for dispatch

Shirt production to dispatch readiness takes approximately 3-6 weeks, planned once order scope, approvals and material preparation are complete.

frequently asked
questions.

Are chambray and denim the same fabric?

They have different weave structures. Similar colours can still produce different handles and drapes, so a reference fabric or sample helps define the surface you want.

Can chambray be developed for a business collection?

A simple pocket layout, controlled collar support and balanced fit can create a relaxed business style. First check that the fabric delivers the desired appearance, then approve both look and care expectations on a physical sample.

How is the minimum order determined?

Flexible MOQ. Order quantities are assessed by style, fabric, colour and size distribution. Share your approximate quantity so we can review options that suit the materials and production plan.

How are branding and international delivery planned?

Brand and care labels, packaging, destination country and delivery requirements are defined for each order. Transport, delivery terms, costs and timing are confirmed in the written quotation.
