Erten production approach

Plan production around your brand, from fabric and fit to sampling and packaging.

Style and colour options

Choose your collection direction.

Poplin shirts can range from smooth essentials to printed collections. The weave name does not specify fibre content or care performance. Assess weight, density, handle and opacity against the intended business or casual range.

Light blue business style

A smooth surface and quiet colour can form a business essential. Select collar, cuffs and buttons for the same visual direction.

Simple white poplin direction

On white styles, opacity and the visibility of internal support matter. A pocketless front offers a cleaner line.

Popeline Shirts — Blue oversized poplin

A wider body and dropped shoulders create a different casual silhouette. Balance the fabric's crispness with the added volume.

Fabric and collection direction

Poplin fibre content, density, weight and opacity are assessed together. The same weave can have different handles, so selection is based on physical fabric samples.

Style-specific manufacturing details

Collar support, plackets and cuffs are balanced with fabric thickness. Samples are checked for seam puckering, pressing results and the visibility of internal layers in light colours.

From sample to order

Start with a reference garment, size chart or design file. We review styles, colours and size quantities alongside labels, packaging and the destination country. Sample approval, material availability and a written quotation establish the production scope.

Product development guide

The right sample. Clear decisions.

Fit and wearing comfort

Excess volume or strain is easy to see in a crisp, smooth fabric. Try chest, waist and sleeve ease together. When changing to a fabric containing elastane, reassess fit before carrying over the previous measurements.

What to check on the sample

Inspect seam puckering, needle marks and placket alignment on the fabric surface. Check whether interlining shows through pale colours. Compare the fully pressed sample with its appearance after care.

Care, finishing and packing

An easy-care target requires a suitable material and finish. The name poplin alone does not mean wrinkle-free. Match care instructions to fibre content, dye or print and the selected treatment.

frequently asked
questions.

Is poplin always pure cotton?

Poplin describes a weave, while fibre content is a separate specification. The actual composition and product requirements guide the choice between cotton and other blends.

How should we assess opacity in a poplin shirt?

Yarn, density, colour and finish matter alongside weight. Examine the fabric and sewn sample under lighting appropriate to the intended use. On pale colours, also check the visibility of pockets, interlining and seam allowances.

How is the minimum order determined?

Flexible MOQ. Order quantities are assessed by style, fabric, colour and size distribution. Share your approximate quantity so we can review options that suit the materials and production plan.

How are branding and international delivery planned?

Brand and care labels, packaging, destination country and delivery requirements are defined for each order. Transport, delivery terms, costs and timing are confirmed in the written quotation.
