Oversized Shirts

Private Label Oversized Shirt Manufacturing

We develop oversized shirts by balancing volume, shoulder lines and garment length. For women's, men's or unisex collections, the silhouette is built around your brand's proportions rather than simply increasing a standard size.

Erten production approach

Plan production around your brand, from fabric and fit to sampling and packaging.

Style and colour options

Choose your collection direction.

An oversized shirt needs more than a larger standard size. Dropped shoulders, a wider body, sleeve volume and hem length are designed together. For casual ranges, layered outfits and seasonal capsules, a crisp or fluid fabric directly affects the silhouette.

Grey oversized fit

A roomy body and dropped shoulders create a simple casual silhouette. Balance collar size and hem curve against the overall volume.

Blue with large chest pocket

A prominent chest pocket and generous sleeves give different proportions. Reposition the pocket to suit the dropped-shoulder pattern.

A clean front lets the wide silhouette stand out. Assess buttons, cuffs and hem length together with the white fabric's appearance.

Fabric and collection direction

Structured weaves suit a fuller silhouette, while suitable lightweight fabrics create a more fluid look. Fabric drape is assessed alongside the intended volume on the sample.

Style-specific manufacturing details

Dropped shoulders, sleeve volume, width and back length are specified together. Pocket placement, cuffs and hems are proportioned to suit the larger silhouette.

From sample to order

Start with a reference garment, size chart or design file. We review styles, colours and size quantities alongside labels, packaging and the destination country. Sample approval, material availability and a written quotation establish the production scope.

Product development guide

The right sample. Clear decisions.

Fit and wearing comfort

Measure shoulder drop and armhole depth as well as chest width. Sleeve ends should not bunch unintentionally over the hands. Adding width without length and creating a longer silhouette are separate choices.

What to check on the sample

Inspect the dropped-shoulder seam, sleeve-to-body join and long hemline. Assess grading together to retain a consistent oversized effect across sizes; adding the same increment everywhere can distort the intended proportions.

Care, finishing and packing

Crisper fabric holds the silhouette more strongly, while fluid fabric falls more softly. Check that the intended shape remains after care. Choose folding and packaging suited to the larger garment dimensions to minimise unwanted marks.

Preparing for samples and a quote

A starting point for your project.

Share your preferences for this style, approximate quantity, colour and size breakdown, target date and delivery country.
  • Target chest width and shoulder drop
  • Sleeve volume, sleeve length and hem length
  • Fabric reference for a crisp or fluid silhouette

If your tech pack is not ready, we can start with a well-fitting reference garment, measurements and visual references. Agree fabric, fit and trim approvals before production.

Planning from sample to production

  1. Pattern development and first sample

A shirt fit / buying sample takes approximately 3-7 working days, depending on product complexity, materials and complete technical inputs.

  2. Sales sample

A shirt sales sample takes approximately 2-4 weeks; revisions and material sourcing may affect timing.

  3. Production and preparation for dispatch

Shirt production to dispatch readiness takes approximately 3-6 weeks, planned once order scope, approvals and material preparation are complete.

before you decide

frequently asked
questions.

Can an oversized fit be created by enlarging a standard size?

Shoulders, armholes, length and width need separate assessment. The intended silhouette and reference measurements guide a consistent oversized fit across the size range.

How should we choose the length of an oversized shirt?

Width and length are separate design decisions. The silhouette can be short and boxy or longer. Try it against the target height range, shoulder drop and untucked use, then approve front and back lengths.

How is the minimum order determined?

Flexible MOQ. Order quantities are assessed by style, fabric, colour and size distribution. Share your approximate quantity so we can review options that suit the materials and production plan.

How are branding and international delivery planned?

Brand and care labels, packaging, destination country and delivery requirements are defined for each order. Transport, delivery terms, costs and timing are confirmed in the written quotation.
